The Forged & Tested Catalyst is our flagship minimalist trainer. It's designed to move with your feet and stand up to your toughest lifting and cross-training sessions.

-FlexCore Midsole: Midsole is precisely tuned to give you flexibility and mobility when training, and comfort for all-day wear.

-TrueFlex Upper: Haptic overlays provide additional upper protection from friction and are built to also move with the foot to keep the Catalyst feeling light, as if it's an extension of the foot.

-FlexFrame Lacing System: Strategic loop laces paired with traditional eyelets provide you with a LockedIn, glove-like fit.

-Athletic Tongue: The Catalyst's tongue is designed to promote the perfect amount of security without moving.

-Suede Boot: We admit it, we can be lazy when putting our feet into these. We built the suede and padded boot to maintain its shape, so it doesn't collapse easily when stepping in.

-Wide Toe Box: Wide and anatomical toe box to promote toe splay to optimize your foot's surface area when training, walking, and running.

-Two Shoe Laces: Every colorway has two shoe laces that complement each other.

-2.5mm Foam Insole: Insole is built so that it doesn't slide. The bottom of the insole features strategic, low-profile raised Xs to promote better insole grip when moving explosively.

In simplest terms, the Catalyst should fit relatively true to size compared to your traditional training shoes.

I'd size these similarly to what you currently wear.

Ladies, I know I only have half-sizes for you at the moment. If you have wide feet, size up, if you have narrow to medium-width feet, size down. So if you're traditionally a 7, then I'd go 7.5 for wide feet and 6.5 for narrow/medium feet.

Use the thumb rule below or reference the sizing guide to get your most accurate fit.

Half-sizes will come in the next few months!

    Are You a Half-Size?

If you're in between sizes, use this rule of thumb (pun intended).

In your current training shoe, measure the end of your toe box utilizing your thumb.

If you have half of a thumb's width or more, then size down. If you're close to the end of your current shoe's toe box with LESS than half of a thumb's width, then size up.

Obviously, reach out if you want additional help with sizing.

Magic erasers work wonders. You can also spot clean your shoes. DO NOT put them into the washer and dryer. If you do this, then any hope of a return due to material issues will be completely voided.

    How To Spot Clean

    1. Grab a washcloth, a soft soap (preferably non-scented and clear), and some lukewarm water.
    2. Get the washcloth damp and use a LIGHT amount of soap, then scrub areas that need a little tender love and care.
    3. To dry, remove the insoles and place your shoes in a dry area in your home.

PRO TIP: With these, and all of your workout shoes, really, I'd let these bad boys air out post gym, AKA try not to leave them in a damp, humid gym bag. This will keep the materials tighter and prevent any premature durability issues.

We offer free returns within 7 days of your delivery date.

From day 7-30, you'll be subject to a $8 return label fee. I do apologize for the return label fee. I have limited inventory and am a small business. To keep shoe costs down and to prevent customers from holding onto inventory longer than necessary, this is necessary.

What Is the Catalyst Built For?

The Catalyst is what we call a "transitional" training shoe, meaning its stack height (15mm/18mm) sits between a barefoot shoe and modern day training shoe.

This gives you a minimalist feel with just enough cushion and comfort. It can be your main training shoe or a shoe that you keep in your rotation when you want more ground feel and minimalism.

We find that the Catalyst works great for:

    • Lifting (Strength and Hypertrophy Workouts)
    • Cross-Training/Athletic Sessions/Sprints
    • Daily Wear/Walking
    • Minimalist Shoe Beginners
    • Barefoot Shoe Lovers (who want a light cushion option to rotate)

NOTE: We've also used this shoe for various CrossFit WODs and pickleball sessions. They've worked well, but keep in mind, we DID NOT EXCLUSIVELY build this shoe for CrossFit and pickleball.

Wear and tear can appear at a faster rate when doing rope climbs at high volumes or going for super aggressive digs on concrete courts if you drag these shoes. If you decide to use the Catalyst in these contexts, do so at your own risk, AKA just keep an eye on them as you go hard!
