As a new shoe company, this sizing guide will continually be fine-tuned as we receive and compile more data from customers.
It can be tough building a "perfect" sizing guide for a FIRST shoe with its first size run, so we appreciate your patience as we improve sizing recommendations for everyone across the board.
In simplest terms, the Catalyst SHOULD size similarly to your other shoes. For example, if you wear a size 10 in Nike, Adidas, and Reebok, go for a 10 in the Catalyst as well.
For context, Jake tried to go off and use what Nike has traditionally used for the length in their shoes. Since most athletes and lifters have worn Nike shoes, this makes it a little easier to contextualize how Forged & Tested shoes should fit from a length perspective.
As for width, the Catalyst is a wider shoe without a ton of arch support. This shoe should fit a wide range of foot anatomies. Jake purposely constructed the lacing system and forefoot volume to also accommodate narrow and medium-width feet, so it's not just a shoe for wider feet, per se.

For the insole sizing, this is a MAX length measurement. Use the guide below when measuring your current insoles. To cross-reference, measure the max length of your insole from the toe to the END of the insole cup.

Generally speaking, you'll subtract around 7-10ish mm off the length because you sit into the heel of the insole's cup (hence why we have the sizing guide above).
We've also provided the width at the forefoot to give you an idea of how the Catalyst will compare to your current shoe's widths.
| US M/W Sizing | Insole Length | Insole Forefoot Width |
| 5 | 239.7mm | 93.5mm |
| 6 | 248mm | 95.5mm |
| 7 | 256.6mm | 97.5mm |
| 8 | 265mm | 99.5mm |
| 9 | 273.5mm | 101.5mm |
| 10 | 282mm | 103.5mm |
| 11 | 290.4mm | 105.5mm |
| 12 | 298.9mm | 107.5mm |
| 13 | 307mm | 109.5mm |
| 14 | 315mm | 111.5mm |
If you want to measure your feet to cross-reference cm and mm with your sizing, then you'll need four things.

Step 1: Step on the piece of paper and make a mark at the end of your heel and the longest toe. Sometimes it's your big toe, sometimes it's the second or third toe. It helps to have a third party do this.
IMPORTANT: Make sure you stand or kneel and put some weight on your foot as you do this. Our feet expand and splay when we stand and move, so we want to replicate this for our measurements to get the most accurate number.
Step 2: Take your tape measure and reference how far it is from point to point. That measurement will be what you reference in the size guide above.
Again, this sizing guide will improve more with time. As a new company rolling out a full size run it's difficult to get every size right. Please provide feedback as you try the shoes because we want to improve and can only do so with your help.
Thus far, though, we've been happy with how these have been sizing compared to other models that run the same size.

The toe box of the Catalyst has an anatomical shape without a harsh taper. There's also minimal arch in this shoe. This was done intentionally to support those who don't love a ton of artificial arch support in their training shoes.
There's additional ankle support in the Catalyst as well for those who like and prefer a more "locked-in" and supported fit. We find that the boot provides the perfect amount of support without taking away from the Catalyst's minimalist-vibe.
For context, here's how the toe box looks compared to models like the Nike Metcon 10 and Reebok Nano X5 Edge.
